She is SO big and precious! I can hardly believe it! Mel, I posted this on the yg, but I wanted to get you and Theresa VanWetten's personal opinions b/c you've had so much adoption experience. If you get a second to give me your thoughts, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thanks SO much! Here's what I wrote:

Hey everybody! I'm brushing up on my bonding knowledge and had heard early on that you should allow no one else to hold your child except you and your spouse until bonding takes place; however, I'm not finding that as I look through my literature now. Only you and your spouse change diapers, feed, yes, but allowing other important family members (Grandma and Grandpa, for instance) to hold for short periods of time is okay, too? We were all prepared to have a no holding rule for the first month or so, but now I'm not sure it's necessary. I know there will be many who would love to hold little Selah, so I just want to
have some "facts" to back up our decision...or to let go of that one if it's not as crucial as we thought.

Blessings,
Danielle
